The fundamental principle of my life

Posted by

I want to talk about the fundamental principle which I have found to be true again and again and again and again so far in my experiences with life.

It is now the foundational principle through which I look at any situation, thing, person or problem.

It is “The concept of relativity, subjectivity or perspective.”

It is beautifully expressed by these simple hand drawn drawings:

It is about the duality of everything. It is about BALANCE. It is about wisdom and experience. About having that knack.

In the left picture, there is nothing right or wrong. Or Both are Right. Or Both are Wrong. Or one is right, the other is wrong. Or one is wrong, the other is right. It is everything.

It is about perspective. Point of view. Point of reference. What is your (0,0,0)?

Or in case of right drawing. The middle stick is both small and long. So if one asks “Middle stick short or long?” The answer should be : “It depends”. Depends in comparison to which stick you are asking.

The world is not White and Black. People, Things, Situation are not White and Black. World is not Simple. It is complicated. It depends on the context, perspective, point of view.

I am a Big Fan of Harry Potter. In fact, I believe Hogwarts is real ;).

I would like to throw one Harry Potter Quotes Here:

“The world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.”

Sirius Black To Harry, Order of the Phoenix.

A person can be 20% Right and 80% wrong. Since the majority of that person is wrong we consider the whole person as wrong.

I have found that the most brutal person can also have some good qualities and the most ideal (mahatma kind of) person can also have some bad qualities.

Making decisions, judging about that percentage of right and wrong in a person, thing or situation are what wisdom & experience all about. We become better at judging that right percentage as we have more experience of life.

This is all just my opinion of course.
