It is a full moon night here at my place. There is moonlight, the sky is clear and the stars can be seen clearly in their beautiful arrangements.
Sometimes when looking at these stars, the moon, all these celestial bodies for a long time, a strange kind of feeling starts to emerge.
We are some intelligent apes living on this 4.5-billion-year-old giant rock, floating in the universe, circling around the sun at a speed of 30kms per second!!
That is the truth. The moon is right there before our eyes. Round and Reflecting the Sun’s light. We can’t deny that.
(I haven’t got crazy. I will make sense just read)
We are so busy in our lives, thinking how mighty we Sapiens are that we forget to think how small and insignificant we are at a cosmic level. It is so humbling to think about it.
There is a difference between knowing something and actually understanding it fully.
You won’t believe what I have just understood. (By imagining quietly and peacefully)
The moon revolves around the earth. One revolution is equal to one month.
The earth rotates on its axis. One rotation is equal to one day.
The earth revolves around the Sun. One revolution is equal to one year.
It is all happening right now. Automatically!
I knew all these as facts from childhood as they were taught in the school. But I never actually fully thought about it. Never actually quietly meditated on it. About anything taught in the school for that matter.
I just crammed everything to rattle it in front of my teacher and just went to play.
I think this is where the modern education system lacks. It creates this false impression that it is teaching the child something whereas in reality it is not teaching the child anything. It is robbing it of its critical thinking. Of its ability to try and figure things out.
I hope I am making sense. And you could actually understand what I am trying to convey here.
Thanks a lot for reading. I really appreciate it.
Today was the last day of the 7-day-challenge.
