Posted by A lot of people have asked me how did you make your website. And a lot of people want to make their own website but don’t know how, which is unfortunate as it is pretty easy.
In this post, I will share a simple process of creating a website.
What do I need to create a website??
To create a website you need two things.
A domain: This is your website’s address like www.theintelligentindianinvestor.com
A Hosting: This is your rented space on the internet.
A domain costs around 500Rs. per year (.in extension). And hosting costs around 200Rs. per month.
So, the cost of both domain and hosting is around 250Rs. per month.
After having these two things you need to do two more things
- Connect domain to Hosting
- Install WordPress on Hosting
Where to buy them??
Buy your domain from Godaddy.in
And you Hosting from Hostgator.in (Don’t buy hosting from Godaddy as their service is pathetic)

Keep a couple of things in mind while buying hosting.
Choose server location as America, don’t choose India, the speed difference is not that much.
Choose the starter plan. If you go for 1 month it will be 199Rs. per month plus taxes. If you go for 1 year it will be 159Rs. per month plus taxes.
So, now you have with you, your domain with Godaddy and your hosting with Hostgator.
Now, you need to connect your domain with your hosting and then install WordPress. I will tell you how to do it in the next post.
