It may take upto 12-24 hours for the Domain to get connected with Hosting. But Generally it gets connected within an hour.
Remember one thing, your cpanel password is different from your Hostgator account password. Don’t get confused.
Now, About installing WordPress on your website.

WordPress is a simple software using which even a normal, non-technical person can create beautiful websites. Previously when WordPress was not there you had to learn html language and other technical stuffs. But now with WordPress you don’t need to learn anything. Just install WordPress and you can create websites in minutes.

Just make sure following things while installing WordPress
- In the video above at 5:48 mark, just leave the “In Directory” space blank. If you leave “wp” it will create problems. So just leave it blank
- Remember the username and password of your wordpress as you will be using it to login to your wordpress dashboard. This username password is different from your cpanel username password.
Having installed WordPress, Now you are ready to go!! Your website is live and now you are ready to write posts and build your following.
