The future of work & Education

Posted by

If you happen to read any of my previous blog posts by any chance, you might know how much I dislike the present education system.

The world has changed and the education system continues to remain the same and suck the shit out of bright young minds. I should know. I was a bright student in my high school and scored really well in Engineering entrance exams.

I was researching about WordPress and the people behind it when I came across this statement from the founder:

Much like WordPress sought to change the way we publish on the web, Automattic has set out to change the way we work. We are an entirely distributed company — with more than 1,100 employees working from more than 62 countries, and no physical headquarters. We are a company that works on, and for, the web.

Matt Mullenweg, Founder of WordPress.

This is essentially work from home that he is talking about. And this term “work from home” has only become popular this year due to COVID.

I know work from home and earn from home is possible but I didn’t know that entire company can be spread across the globe like this. But this is reality. This is just one example. Lots and Lots of companies are using it and even finding it a better option than traditional thing.

Just like education I think this system of working is the future of working. Being flexible, being able to learn from anywhere, anytime and getting paid for the work and not the hours you put it.
