LIFE
It is made up of time and it can be divided into three broad areas
- Health
- Wealth/Work
- Relationships
Social/ Relationships depends on Work
Work Depends on Health/Routine/Discipline
Health/Routine/Discipline is the Most Important thing
Life is made up of time
General life span is considered 80 years
These 80 years are made up of days
Days are made up of 24 hours
These 24 hours can be divided into 3*8 hours in which 8 hours are sleeping time
and 16 hours are waking time
In these 16 hours we have to manage Health, Work and Social.
If I can manage these 16 hours, repeatedly, for a long enough time, I can somehow manage my Life and take it where I want to take it.
Otherwise Life will just happen. Time will just pass.
Usually the Mornings are kept for Health then Working hours then Evenings for Socializing & Enjoyment.
In the work area, I have to Remember this quote from Steve Jobs:
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”
I also believe that great relationships arise from doing the work we love. If we are not satisfied in our work/job we also won’t have great relationships in our personal life.
Some of the people in our professional life eventually become part of our personal life.
Also, we got to remember this very often overlooked thing:
We don’t Live to Work. We Work to Live.
Not “Living to Work” means Not compromising our Health & Peace of mind. And “Living” means being in good health, being surrounded by good people, having nice relationships, doing things we love doing.
Because at our Death Bed when we are dying, nobody asks us about how much money we made, what kind of cars we had, or what clothes we wore, the stuffs we had. It matters, of course, but not that much. It all just fades away in the face of death.
People only ask us about two things on our deathbed. How is our Health and How is our Family.
One other thing that matters the most is what kind of impact we made in the world, in society, in the life of others through our work.
And to remember Steve’s Words, were we satisfied doing that work? Did we love our work?
These are the things that matter the most in Life. And I believe it is worth reading, writing, sharing and remembering.
